Let’s Get to Know Each Other
Where invisible colors are born
My name is Armando, and I am a synesthetic artist.
I create in a space where the boundaries between the senses dissolve:
where aromas become color, where colors tell a story,
and where the invisible finally allows itself to be seen.
Born in Burgundy, I grew up among vineyards, earth, and living fragrances that marked the rhythm of the seasons.
This bond with nature and aromas took shape early within me, like an intimate language.
For more than twenty-five years, I worked in the world of wine and spirits—a world of precision, passion, and sensorial depth.
There, I learned how to listen to a wine, how to read a terroir, how to understand its memory.
When life confronted me with a rare visual condition, my perception did not fade—it transformed.
My synesthesia revealed itself as a second sight.
As the outlines of the world became uncertain, colors began to appear differently—more inward, deeper, truer.
Today, I paint aromas.
I translate wines, honeys, and skin fragrances into olfactory and emotional maps.
Each nuance, each trace of ink corresponds to a fragrance, a vibration, a story.
I become a kind of sensory interpreter: capturing the essence of a grape variety, a nectar, a living material, and giving it form and color.
My path has not always been simple.
It has shaped my sensitivity, my strength, and my way of seeing the world.
I do not need to recount everything that formed me—it naturally emerges in my works:
in the softness of a violet,
the intensity of a deep red,
the radiance of a honeyed yellow.
I create because beauty is a form of truth.
Because it connects, soothes, reveals.
Because it allows transformation—turning trials into light, and life into color.
My works do not speak of suffering.
They speak of resilience, nature, fragrance, silence, emotion.
They invite us to perceive differently,
to step in, for a moment,
where invisible colors are born.
